THE MYSTIC RIVER
The mystic river, it runs so deep
leaving many to wander, what secrets it keeps
The mystic river, with moon shining down
leaves many to know there are treasures abound
The mystic river, carries knowledge of life,
joy, contentment, questions, and strife
The mystic river, we know , oh so well
As we travel it daily, it leaves us stories to tell
The mystic river carries many days of hard lessons
It also washes away any and all of our transgressions
The mystic river is full of fun and yearning
As we strive down our path of hope and learning
The mystic river offers wonderful pleasure
When with each passing day, our trials we out weather
The mystic river is a place of delight
All we must do is carry on with lifes plight
And in the end, when we are old and tired
we know that we tamed that mystic river so wild
